Conceptual Foundations for Machine Learning in Engineering Using the Example of Tailored Laser Pulse Forming
Supervisors: Dr. Christoph Heyl (DESY), Dr. Henrik Tünnermann (DESY), Prof. Nihat Ay (TUHH)

Utsa studied Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence in India and Singapore. He obtained his first Master's degree in 2020 where he did research on Bitcoin Scam detection and visualization under Prof. Anwitaman Datta. Later he pursued his second Master's studies at NTU Singapore on Artificial Intelligence where his research focussed on language models and natural language processing for low resource machine translation. His current research explores the principle of Fourier transform on Ultrashort Laser Pulses and how machine learning approaches can be applied to improve the conducted experiments. For his current work, Utsa is closely associated with colleagues from the Physics and Data Science departments at the collaborating DASHH partners.
