Paul did his Master's thesis on data analysis of continuous gravitational waves at the Albert Einstein Institute (Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics) in Hannover. Now, he investigates how to mitigate Newtonian Noise for the Einstein Telescope. In the research group, they perform seismic simulations using finite element methods. They try to model Newtonian Noise and investigate how to place detectors to mitigate it.
