Welcome aboard!

Helmholtz Information & Data Science Schools (HIDSS) promote young scientists in all research areas under the roof of the Helmholtz Information & Data Science Academy (HIDA). At these schools, highly talented graduates can do research at the interface between information technologies and other scientific areas, acquiring and deepening unique insights.

DASHH is a Helmholtz graduate school focusing on interdisciplinary Data Science Research, involving several partners:

  • Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY)
  • Universit√§t Hamburg (UHH)
  • Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH)
  • Helmut-Schmidt-University (HSU)
  • Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon (Hereon)
  • Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI)
  • Max Planck Institute for the Structure and Dynamics of Matter (MPSD)
  • European XFEL (EuXFEL)
  • Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW)

In DASHH we harness data, computer and applied mathematical science to advance our understanding of nature. We aim to educate the future generation of data and information scientists that will tackle tomorrow’s scientific challenges that come along with large-scale experiments.
