Optimisation of Quantum Circuits using Error Impact Analysis and Modelling
Supervisors: Prof. Matthias Riebisch (UHH), Prof. Kerstin Borras (DESY)

Tom started studying physics in 2013 at University of Hamburg. Afterwards he stayed in Hamburg to obtain his master’s degree in mathematical physics. During his study, his interest in data science and machine learning grew. Now he is a DASHH fellow with research focus on quantum computing, in particular investigating the optimisation of quantum circuits.
In his free time Tom plays piano and enjoys many different sports, mostly fencing and basketball.
