Application Procedure

Welcome to DASHH!

• Before preparing your application, we strongly recommend reading the admission requirements.
• You can apply for up to two PhD research topics. To this end, you must submit two individual applications for both.
• During the online application process, you will need to answer the following questions:
  • Why are you interested in these PhD topics?
  • What is your relevant experience in the research fields of the chosen PhD topics?

Overview of the selection process of the next Call for PhD Applications 2025

• Call Opening: September 2025
• Submission of the application and the required documents via our online application portal until October 31st, 2025
• Pre-screening interview (video conference) of potentially interesting candidates by the involved project supervisors (November 2025)
• On-Site Admission Workshop (presentation of your Master thesis research to the Admission Committee with representatives from all DASHH partner institutions and individual interviews with the Supervision Panel) from February 2nd to 5th, 2026
• Decision on acceptance on February 9th, 2026
