We are happy to announce that Prof. Nicole Fischer (Center for Diagnostics, Institute of Medical Microbiology, Virology and Hygiene, UKE) will present her research on variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. We are looking forward the her talk on the Virus Genome Surveillance platform in Hamburg with a focus on the British variant VOC202012/01, the South African variant 501.V2 and other emerging variants. Her talk is entitled "SARS-CoV-2 genome sequencing: the impact of viral mutants at local, national and international level".
